So Many Beauties Festival

On 26th September, BBC World Music Day, we took part in the UK’s first dementia friendly music festival! We had the pleasure of working with a bunch of wonderful organisations:
So Many Beauties, Music in Hospitals, Bridgewater Hall and RNCM Voice

The festival celebrated the creativity of people living with dementia, and recognised the power that music has to connect.
We held two music making workshops and our group from Wigan, Singing in the Same Boat, performed their new piece ‘Mexico’.

The day was filled with cheer, love and so much music and we’re so proud to have been part of it. The festival even made it to the airwaves… if you want to listen and hear a snippet of some of the music, click here and listen from around 1 hour in.

Can’t wait for the next one!
